Frequently Asked Questions

The following are frequently asked questions. If you still have questions after reading the following, please feel free to reach out via our contact form.

1

Why choose intensive therapy?

Intensive therapy provides children with neurological conditions frequent, focused practice that accelerates motor learning and strengthens neural pathways more effectively than once-weekly sessions. The higher repetition and consistency help children make meaningful functional gains in a shorter period of time. By reducing time between sessions, intensive therapy also minimizes skill regression and allows progress to build day-to-day instead of week-to-week.

2

Do you have a size or age limit?

We do not have a formal age or size limit. When selecting modalities, your child's age, weight, and current skill level will be accounted for. Certain modalities, such as DMI, may be excluded if the therapist deems it is not appropriate at this time.

3

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out of network provider for all intensives. You may request a superbill prior to the start of your care, which will allow you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

For weekly services, we credentialed with SC Healthy Connections  Medicaid (FFS) and Babynet at this time. If you are interested in services through Medicaid, please reach out via our contact form and we will contact you.

4

What conditions do you treat?

We specialize in pediatric neurological conditions including, but not limited to: cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, epilepsy, and acquired brain injury. We also have experience working with various rare genetic conditions. If we have not personally seen your child's rare diagnosis, rest assured we will do adequate research and create an individualized plan for your child.
